This is both good and bad, depending on use. +/- Fullscreen behaviour is now different, as it seems changing resolution changes only internal resolution, but image is always stretched to monitor resolution. + Added borderless windowed as display mode + Vignette and Chromatic Aberration were added and can be manually configured. + There is now an option to configure FPS cap + Original simplistic ambient occlusion (probably SSAO) was replaced with far more refined HBAO. + 2x1 SSAA (anti aliasing done only on width of a frame) which was producing pretty much nearly no visible effects was replaced with MSAA with additional option to enable either FXAA or SMAA - that is also a pretty great improvement. + It's possible now to configure how "focus loss" is handled - which is a great addition. + Executable is 64bit now (which opens the possibility for further optimisation). + Rendering is now done using D3D11 instead of old D3D9 (which should reduce possible CPU bottlenecking, especially around multithreading). + Some surfaces use now additional layers of textures and shading - for example snow seems to have some parallax layer to mimic car tracks of footprints within the snow. + Shadow resolution is much higher now, producing much sharper shadows now. +/- A lot of the texture have been reworked, but unlike original who managed to keep original low res textures blurry, the new textures here often end up being grainy, which for me is worse. Since most of people just complain here (sadly, mostly justified) here are few positives.
